The Judo Gi JOF is KuSakura's new model approved by the International Judo Federation since April 2015. Issued after over a year of textile research, the used fabric for this model is also, like the fabric for the models JOA and JKK, woven by KuSakura.
KuSakura's research team did his utmost to ensure that, despite the significant drop of the fabric weight imposed by the IJF, this model is as thick and heavy as possible. Weighing 750 g/m, this model flirts with the maximum weight allowed for the IJF Judogi.
To retain maximum strength in face of the relatively light weight of the fabric, the 100% cotton weave had to be abandoned for a more resistant blended fabric, compounding cotton fiber (70%) and polyester fiber (30%). This maintains a tensile strength greater than 2200 Newtons, as required by the IJF.
The Judo jacket is designed from double layered Sashiko (rice grain weave) on the upper part and Hishisashi (diamond weave) on the lower part.
This model can officially be used in any kind of competition at any level but is essential for the competitions run by the International Judo Federation. The polyester fiber allows quick drying and compact folding, which is particularly useful for practitioners traveling a lot.
This product consists of a jacket only. The are available for separate purchase.
With over a hundred sizes, made in Japan KuSakura Judogi have the largest size choice on the market. Because the size table is quite long and complicated, we have made available a size calculator.
If you already know your size, you can click on " I Know My Size", and then just type the size.
If you do not know your size, click on " I don't know my size" to display our automated size calculator.
If you have an unusual body type (very dense muscles, large chest, or large waist), we recommend measuring your waist and chest circumference and checking with the value displayed with the weight in the selector.
The detailed size table, on which the Judogi size calculator is based, is available via the "How to Choose your Judogi" tab above, or directly on the " " page.
